Adult ADHD, Autism, and Learning Evaluations in Folsom, CA

Clear answers about how you learn, think, and focus, at any age.

It’s never too late to understand yourself.

Maybe you’ve always felt like you had to work twice as hard to keep up. Maybe you made it through school by staying up late, memorizing everything, or just pushing through. Or maybe your child was recently evaluated, and you recognized yourself in the results.

Many adults were never evaluated as kids. Some were told they were lazy, careless, or “not living up to their potential.” Others did well in school but are struggling now that college, graduate school, or life has gotten more demanding.

An evaluation can help you understand your strengths, explain your challenges, and give you a clear plan for what to do next.

Is this you?

  • You’re in college or graduate school and need to know whether you qualify for accommodations.
  • You’re preparing for a big exam, like the SAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, or a licensing exam, and want to request extra time or other supports.
  • Reading, writing, or math has always felt harder for you than it should.
  • You have trouble staying organized, starting tasks, or keeping track of time.
  • You’ve always felt different and wonder whether autism could be part of your story.
  • You had an evaluation years ago, and you need updated testing.

What you’ll walk away with

  • A clear explanation of how you learn, think, and focus
  • Answers about ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or other learning differences
  • Documentation you can use to request accommodations
  • Practical strategies for school, studying, and daily life

Evaluations for adults

Learning Disability and Dyslexia Evaluations

We look at reading, writing, math, and the thinking skills behind them, so you understand why some tasks feel harder and what helps.

Fee: $2,500

ADHD Evaluations

We assess attention, focus, organization, and other executive functioning skills, and look at how they affect your daily life and learning.

Fee: $1,950

Autism Evaluations

We have particular experience with adults who mask, or hide, their differences, and with profiles that don’t fit common stereotypes.

Fee: $1,950

Comprehensive Evaluations

When your concerns span more than one area, such as attention and learning, a comprehensive evaluation gives you the full picture of how you think, learn, and process information.

Fee: $3,950

Accommodation Evaluations

We provide the testing and documentation colleges, universities, and testing agencies ask for. Before testing, we review your school’s or testing agency’s guidelines so your report includes what they need.

Who you’ll work with

Your evaluation is led by one of our Licensed Educational Psychologists, each with years of experience. Every evaluator follows the same careful process, so you can expect the same quality and clear communication no matter who you work with.

We know many adults come to us after years of feeling misunderstood. We listen first, explain everything in plain language, and focus on your strengths as much as your challenges.

What to expect

1. Free consultation

We start with a 30-minute call or Zoom to hear your concerns, talk about your goals, and decide whether an evaluation is the right fit.

2. Your evaluation

You complete testing sessions in our Folsom office. We also gather your history and review past records, like school reports or prior evaluations. With your permission, we may ask someone who knows you well, such as a parent or partner, to complete a questionnaire.

3. Feedback and next steps

We meet with you to go over the results in clear, everyday language. You’ll receive a written report with practical recommendations, plus follow-up consultation time.

Common questions

Am I too old to be evaluated?

No. We evaluate adults of all ages, starting at age 18.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can contact us directly to schedule a free consultation.

What if my concerns are mainly about mental health?

Our evaluations focus on ADHD, autism, learning differences, and accommodations. If your main concerns are primarily about mood, trauma, or other mental health conditions, a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist is usually the best fit. We’re happy to point you in the right direction during your free consultation.

How long does it take?

Testing usually takes one to two sessions in our Folsom office, each lasting a few hours. You’ll get your report and feedback meeting about a month after your intake.

How much does it cost?

Adult evaluations use the same flat fees as our child evaluations: $1,950 for an ADHD or autism evaluation, $2,500 for a learning disability evaluation, and $3,950 for a comprehensive evaluation. The right one depends on the questions we’re answering. We’ll recommend the right scope during your free consultation. We use flat-fee pricing, and you’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate before testing begins. We don’t accept insurance, but we can provide a superbill some clients use for out-of-network reimbursement. CareCredit is also available.

Will my report work for college or exam accommodations?

Each school and testing agency has its own rules. We review their guidelines before testing and write your report to meet them. We can’t promise any agency will approve your request, since that decision is theirs.

You don’t have to keep pushing through on your own or wondering what’s behind your struggles. Understanding how your brain works can change how you see yourself and open the door to the support you need. Schedule a free consultation, and we’ll help you figure out the right next step.
